
1) Dishes still wet
- Load dishes correctly so that wash water can run off freely.
- Regularly add Finish Shine and Dry to the rinse aid dispenser.
- Increase the setting of rinse aid dosage.
- Possible faulty heating element. (Contact your engineer)

2) General poor cleaning
- Avoid low quality and old/damp detergent. Use the detergent brand recommended by your manufacturer.
- Dose detergent as recommended.
- Load and sort dishes to allow wash water to circulate.
- A cleaner dishwasher means cleaner dishes. Use Finish Machine Cleaner to clear build-up of grease and limescale.

3) Food around filter
- Remove and clean filter.
- Scrape off large food particles from the dishes before loading.
- Use Normal and Auto wash cycle.
- Use Finish Machine Cleaner to keep this vital component working properly.

4) Cloudy glassware
- In hard water areas, avoid limescale deposits by adding Finish Salt into the salt chamber.
- Determine your local water hardness and adjust the machine setting accordingly.
- White streaks on glasses could be surface corrosion.
- Avoid this by using low temperature or glass cycles. Use Finish Quantum with built-in anti-corrosion protection or specialist Finish Protector.

5) Rusting cutlery
- Avoid prolonged contact with acidic/salty foodstuffs like mustard or ketchup.
- Avoid spillage of special salt when refilling salt chamber.
- Use high grade quality stainless steel. (e.g. 18/10)

6) Faded patterns on plates
- Use Finish Quantum with built-in anti-corrosion protection or specialist Finish Protector.
- Run low temperature cycle, or if dinnerware is not dishwasher-safe, wash items by hand.

7) Detergent residues at end of cycle
- Check flap of dosing chamber is not blocked by bulky dishes.
- A damp dosing chamber can cause tablets and powder to stick.

8) Spots, drops marks and smears on glasses
- Load dishes correctly so wash water runs off freely.
- Regularly add Finish Shine and Dry to the rinse aid dispenser.
- Add Finish Salt if you live in an area with extremely hard water.
- Determine your local water hardness and adjust the machine setting accordingly.
- Smears and streaks can be caused by an overdosage of rinse aid or detergent: Adjust dosages as recommended.

9) Foaming machine
- Traces of washing up liquid on dishes. Pre-washing is not necessary with a high quality detergent like Finish Quantum.
- Rinse aid spilled during refilling, or rinse aid chamber could be leaking.
- High amount of protein-based food left on dishes e.g. yoghurt, cottage cheese etc.

10) Orange staining on plastics
- Caused by red sauce in the wash such as curry, tomato and bolognaise.
- Scrape items before loading or use a pre-rinse cycle.
- Bleach back to original colour by placing in strong sunlight.
